Standards & Quality

QR sets itself apart through its partnership with Lifetime Awarding Organisation (LAO). QR is committed to complete transparency and quality. QR's partnership with an Ofqual regulated Awarding Body provides the public and employers absolute assurance that those who say they have qualifications do actually have them and that standards of CPD are maintained, robust and constantly improved.

QR has created a framework whereby practitioners can market themselves and their skills to the public and employers in a transparent way. The framework is then built on by providing members of the public and employers additional layers of rich information about that practitioner. Some of that key information and quality signalling is achievement of CPD. Lifetime Awarding sets the standards and award criteria for endorsed CPD that is displayed to the public. Lifetime Awarding are an Ofqual regulated awarding organisation and provide the independent assurance of quality that the public and employers need and rely upon. Only once Lifetime Awarding have awarded an individual with the CPD is that qualification displayed in the public domain as being held by the individual.

As part of this commitment to quality both QR and LAO stress absolute transparency in everything they do. For each piece of member CPD awarded, the public will be able to view the date it was actually awarded. When QR states a practitioner has a qualification and/or particular piece of CPD, members of the public and employers will know with 100% certainty that this claim is genuine. QR do not believe in sampling (e.g.: 1%, 5% or 10%) members to find a 'level of confidence' that the practitioner has the skills they say they do. Both QR and LAO are fully accountable to the fact 100% of our members have the CPD they market to the public on QR. LAO recognise this feature and as a consequence recognise and accredit QR through its ability to deliver this quality commitment. QR's value to the public and its members is derived from its integrity and the framework built does everything to preserve this.
